1. Who We Are

Tennis Pro Equipment Database is a website that provides information about professional tennis player equipment and AI-powered equipment recommendations. We are the data controller for any personal data processed through this site.

2. What Data We Collect

A. Equipment Advisor Questionnaires

When you use the Racquet Advisor or String Advisor, you answer questions about your playing preferences. We collect:

• Playing experience level
• Playing style and goals
• Playing surface and frequency
• Swing speed
• Budget range
• The recommendation you received

We do not persistently store your age range, physical build, or arm/elbow sensitivity. These fields are used only transiently to generate your recommendation and are never written to our database.

B. Automatic Technical Data

Our hosting provider (Netlify) and database provider (Supabase) may log standard server-side information such as IP addresses and request timestamps as part of their infrastructure operation. This is governed by their respective privacy policies and is not accessible to us in identifiable form.

C. Player Database

We maintain a database of professional tennis players and their publicly known equipment (racquets, strings). This data relates to public figures acting in their professional capacity and is sourced from publicly available sporting information.

4. Third-Party Services (Sub-Processors)

Your questionnaire answers are processed by the following third parties:

5. Data Retention

Anonymised recommendation records stored in our database are automatically deleted after 90 days. We do not retain questionnaire data beyond this period.

Your questionnaire answers sent to Anthropic for AI processing are subject to Anthropic's data retention policies. Anthropic's API does not use inputs to train models by default; see their privacy policy for details.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
• Erasure — request deletion of your recommendation data (see below)
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

7. Delete Your Recommendation Data

After receiving a recommendation you are shown a deletion token. Enter it below to permanently delete your stored recommendation record.

Records are also automatically deleted after 90 days even without using this tool.

8. Cookies and Tracking

This site does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. No user sessions are tracked across visits.

9. International Data Transfers

Anthropic and Netlify are US-based companies. Data transferred to them is covered by their respective data transfer mechanisms (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Supabase offers EU-region hosting; if data residency is important to you, contact us.
